Canned Tune Description:
Our "canned" tune package is package designed around those with "stock" or mildly modified vehicles (I.E. cold air intake, exhaust, throttle body, etc). These are files that have been extensively tested on various trucks with similar or identical modifications and are known good calibrations from my own research and development.
Tune files can be set up to run either 87, 91, or 93 octane. You can expect vastly improved street manners as well as performance. Mileage typically improves by 1-2 mpg depending on driving style.
Should you add other significant modifications after the canned tune is installed, it is highly recommended to see us for further custom tuning. We are not responsible for any damage that can or will result from adding modifications beyond what the canned tune is designed for. This includes, but is not limited to, aftermarket injectors, ported or aftermarket heads, aftermarket camshafts, nitrous, or forced induction.
I am frequently asked, "How does one of your canned tunes compare with something like the other handheld tuners,, or even a [insert competing tuner here] canned tune?" The answer I give, is that it doesn't. We have been able to put together files that are proven, SAFE, efficient on gas, and ultimately our canned tunes are more "complete" than either a "Brand X" SCT canned tune or a competing handhelds. We make more changes, we pay more attention to detail while making those changes, and as such, there are more gains to be had.
Custom NA Tuning Description:
This is for customers who are wanting custom tuning specific to their naturally aspirated (i.e. no supercharger/turbo) vehicle. This is for those who have either heads and/or camshafts, or simply want the extra support to fine-tune the calibration to be specific to their vehicle.
Our SCT NA Tuning Packages cover 10x revisions within a 30 day period (which ever comes first) beginning when the first data log file is sent to me. After the initial 30 days customer will need to purchase more revisions. Revisions are at reduced pricing, and have no time limit on them. Most calibrations take 3-5 files to finish.
Wideband O2 sensor for AFR reading is mandatory for custom tuning. For in person work, we can provide a wideband.
Custom Boost Tuning Description:
This is for customers who are wanting custom tuning specific to their forced induction (Supercharged/Turbocharged) vehicle. This is required for those who have or intend to run forced induction with the factory PCM.
Our SCT NA Tuning Packages cover 15x revisions within a 30 day period (which ever comes first) beginning when the first data log file is sent to me. After the initial 30 days customer will need to purchase more revisions. Revisions are at reduced pricing, and have no time limit on them. Most calibrations take 8-10 files to finish.
A 2 bar MAP sensor, Larger injectors, a higher flow fuel pump, andWideband O2 sensor for AFR reading is mandatory for custom tuning. For in person work, we can provide a wideband.
